Frequently Asked Questions
Here's the answers to a few common questions to help you decide if Wild Days is the right choice for you
What linen is provided in the rooms?
We provide all the bedding in all rooms, as well as towels for the bathroom. If you book enough people for use of the sofa beds we'll also supply linen for those.
What is the water situation on Waiheke?
Waiheke relies solely on rainwater collected from roofs and stored in water tanks. This means in summer we limit our water usage to conserve as much as possible. We ask that you have short showers (under 5 minutes) to help us with this, and use water responsibly.
Can we have a fire?
During the summer season, September to April, there is a total fire ban on Waiheke, so no fires are permitted at all. In winter there is an outdoor fireplace on the pirate ship deck that you're welcome to use responsibly.
Do you provide rum tours?
We like to show guests around the rum distillery if we are available. The best way to check is to email us directly or put in a special request for one at the time of booking. Alternatively, you can ask us for one when you're staying, but we reserve the right to decline if we're unavailable.
Can I have an extra person in the rooms?
At Wild Days we charge per room, not per person, so if you want to fit 4 people into one bed you're more than welcome to try! Just let us know beforehand that there will be extras so we can provide more towels.
Do you require vaccine passports?
We don't require vaccine passports for any of our self contained rooms as they are contactless
